Diagnosed (blog 1)

  Recently over the pass year my grandmother has been forgetting things.  Grandma has always had trouble remembering little stuff, but now her amnesia is starting to effect everyday life.  Mostly she's been forgetting to feed her dog and often leaves faucets running.

  So we took her to the doctor to hopefully get some closure.  The doctor took her in and ran multiple tests.  Such Neurological exams, blood tests, and brain imaging using an MRI.  The doctor told us that grandma probably has Alzheimer's disease.  He believes this cause' she showed obvious signs of dementia and Alzheimer's the most common form of it for her age group.  But is impossible to tell for certain until she has passed and the brain is examined.  The Doctor told us (by us I mean my mom, dad, and I) that she could get worse and possibly be die within only three years, but it's possible she won't show any more symptoms for the rest of her life.  The doctor suggests that we take her dog and not let her drive as she could forget how to do it.  I hope the doctor is wrong.
